Eton Chin has built the semi-automation MS Excel Financial Statement model and the Evisions Argos Dashboards that together perform the Extract Transform and Load (ETL) stages of the data model. This has the proven capability to produce the financial statements in hours instead of months. He has built several Argos dashboards that utilise data analysis to improve operational and executive insight in real-time for the Bursary and other departments.
He has both an Executive Masters in Business Administration (2006) and a M.Sc. Corporate Finance (2018) from the Global Top 1000 Mona School of Business & Management. His B.Sc. Natural Sciences (1986) was earned at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus now a GlobalTop 3% ranked public research university. Eton has also completed certificate course in Forensic Accounting. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Eton is an expert-level international Chess player
Eton's current responsibilities embrace the modernization of the Bursary's administrative accounting system including the enterprise reporting system covering both Ellucian Banner and Evisions Argos. He is an expert resource for both ERPs having assisted all of the other campuses (Regional Headquarters, Cave Hill, Open, St. Augustine) as well as the Mona School of Business & Management.
