Dr. Ramkissoon is an Instructor in the Department of Economics at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The U.W.I. His research primarily focuses on development economics. Throughout his career, Dr. Ramkissoon has contributed to academic research, evidenced through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He also has a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students. He currently lectures introductory courses in mathematics for social sciences students, and macroeconomics, along with intermediate courses in macroeconomics and a survey research course for postgraduate students.
