Dr. Smith is a 1994 graduate of The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine School of Dentistry. He pursued his Masters in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, a Masters in Business Administration from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific, Gladys L Bernerd School of Education. He has been with The University of the West Indies, School of Dentistry since 1999 and is currently the Acting Director and Senior Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry. He also is the Co-Assistant Director of the NYU-Langone Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Programme. His research interest is in Dental Education, management of tooth wear- especially that caused by non-carious cervical lesions and dental materials science.
