Graduate of The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine and is a Caribbean Volcanologist in the specialised areas of fluid geochemistry associated with active volcanic systems. Associated with the Seismic Research Centre (SRC) for the past 15 years, first as a student and then as a member of scientific staff. At the SRC I am responsible for the geothermal monitoring programme for volcanoes in the English-speaking islands of the Eastern Caribbean. My research interests are related to the study of volcanic aquifers, magmatic-hydrothermal system/groundwater interaction, ground water dating and residence-time measurements in volcanic islands, and submarine ground water discharge. I am also involved in the investigation of atmospheric dispersion of volcanic gases and the impacts of volcanic emissions on public health.
