Richard Bachoo is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus. His research interests include structural dynamics, flow induced vibration and high frequency vibration analysis. He is the Year 2 coordinator for the following programmes: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Bio-Systems and Industrial Engineering. He also function as the Departmental Library Liaison and is a member of the Faculty's Blended Learning Committee. Richard is currently the lead organizer for the International Symposium on the Anniversary of the Timoshenko-Ehrenfest Beam Model and Other Refined Theories for the upcoming ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition 2024. He was also a core member of the organizing committee of the IConETech 2020 conference.
