Biography/Responsibilities/Duties:

With a robust academic background in ocean engineering and climate science, coupled with extensive experience in nuclear science and its applications, Jhénelle is a seasoned scientist and researcher. Her expertise spans multiple disciplines, facilitating collaboration on projects across the Caribbean, the United States, and Europe. Notable collaborations include work with organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation (ANSTO), and the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).

Jhénelle began her career at the UWI Mona as a Scientific Officer at the International Centre for Environmental and Nuclear Sciences (ICENS) from 2015 to 2023. Following this, she completed a fellowship with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Austria. Currently serving as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Centre for Marine Sciences (CMS), Jhénelle continues to contribute to research projects focusing on marine and environmental monitoring and assessment in collaboration with the IAEA and the ICENS.

Her ability to seamlessly integrate into multidisciplinary teams has enabled her to make significant contributions across various areas, including climate science and policy.
