Whitney P. Eaton is a PhD candidate at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. Her thesis focuses on the systems of social exchange depicted within Shakespeare's plays and Early Modern dramatic representations of selfhood. Her academic interests also include modern pedagogical practices for teaching Shakespeare within the Caribbean and diaspora to dispel fears of its ‘complexities and lost relevance’ in contemporary classrooms. Her notable works include the presentation of “Lost and Found in Translation: Adaptive Methods for Teaching Shakespeare in Caribbean High Schools " at the British Shakespeare Association's 2019 conference, and the publication of “Including Caliban: Inclusive Teaching, Shakespeare and the Commonwealth" in the Spring 2021 issue of Teaching Shakespeare.
