Biography/Responsibilities/Duties:

Coordinator of The UWI Film Programme, Office of the Dean FHE, St Augustine campus.

Lecturer in Film: Full courses lectured include Cinematography, Directing, Screenwriting , Production Tools II, Early & Silent Cinema, Indian Cinema, Cinemas of Africa, CAPSTONE: The Making of A Film, History of Narrative Cinema, Advanced Research Seminar & Emergent Cinema, Documentary I & II.  

Filmmaker-in-Residence at the UWI Film Programme (2008)

Other responsibilities have included: Member of Acadmic advising Committee, Member of FHE Faculty Prize Award Planning Committee, CoordniatorDummer School (Film) UWI St Augustine (2013), Coordinator BA in Film Production (2008-13).

Prior to occupying a full -time position at The UWI Film Programme in FHE, taught as Part-time Lecturer - Television and Film Production (1995-2008), Mass Media and Communications Methods & Techniques (1992-1994)

Has also made four (4) feature films in the period 2006 - 2023 the last of which is currently in post-production.

Research Interests

  1. Cinemas of Africa, The Caribbean, India in particular and emerging national cinema in general. He has undertaken research in theories of cinema aesthetics. His doctoral thesis, explores the application of his singular aesthetic, Caribbeing, and the phenomena of the eyealect, the blackground et cetera which he has developed over the past four (4) decades.
