Dr. Joshua James Anzinger is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at The University of the West Indies Kingston, Jamaica Ph.D. Within the Department of Microbiology, he simultaneously holds the positions of Head of Virology, Consultant Virologist and Director of Jamaica Affiliate Global Virus Network. As Senior lecturer his focus is on multiple subject areas including microbiology, virology, disease and treatment, organ-system toxicology and immunology. His expertise in these subject areas has led to invitations to present at several conferences and the publication of an extensive array of peer reviewed journal articles. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology and the International AIDS Society. In February 2020 he was appointed to the UWI COVID-19 Task Force.
