Donna-Maria Maynard, PhD is a Professor of Psychology and Registered Psychologist who has over 20 years of work experience teaching in clinical and counselling psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. She provides research and clinical supervision for psychologists and counsellors in training throughout the Caribbean. Professor Maynard’s research agenda is comprised of three overlapping strands of psychology. That is, clinical, counselling and educational and has published a number of scholarly articles and book chapters on adolescents and emerging adults, identity development, sexuality, psychological assessment and psycho-educational issues affecting students and teachers. Professor Maynard is a Past President of the Barbados Association of Psychologists and a member of the Caribbean Alliance of National Psychological Associations. In 2020, Professor Maynard was appointed as a Member of the UWI COVID-19 Task Force.
