Dr. Bolapeju Mary Agboola has a PhD in Educational Planning, an MEd in Educational Management, and a BSc (Ed.) in Mathematics. She is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership, and Management in the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona and worked previously as a tenured Associate Professor in Educational Planning, Policy, Leadership and Management at the University of Uyo, Nigeria. She is a coordinator for a master's programme in Educational Leadership and Management and a representative of the School of Education at the Faculty Research Ethics Committee.
Her experience spans over 30 years of teaching at secondary and higher education institutions. She specializes in training leaders, educators, and in-service teachers at both levels. She is a certified facilitator at the National Open University, Nigeria, and authentic assessment in online learning expert. She is a certified career planning and consultant on education matters, and a co-founder of the National Association of Educational Administration and Planning, Akwa Ibom Chapter. She is a faculty mentor to the Philosophy of Education Movement of the Caribbean, trainer and Operation Team Member of the Caribbean Centre for Educational Planning. Her research interests include education system leadership, planning, sustainability, equality, quality and policy improvement. She has authored and co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She is a reviewer of many referred journal articles, editor, and co-editor of books. She is an editor of a book to be published by IGI Global. She is also a Board Member of Education Journal. She is a member of many professional bodies, a Fellow at the Institute of Management, and also a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
