Carla is a performer, producer, writer, arts manager and cultural consultant, with 40 years of theatre experience on and off stage in Barbados, the Caribbean, and in major cities around the world. A former cast member with Stage One Theatre Productions, “Pampalam” and “Laff-it-Off”, and well known in the local TV mini-series on HIV/AIDS Awareness “Secrets”, she is a founding member and Director of SAYGE Theatre Productions and Hunterspring Events Management. Carla has written her first two plays “It’s up to Me” on HIV/AIDS Awareness and “When Men Cry” on Domestic Abuse, and has co-written and co-produced a play on issues of identity called “Deadly Beautiful”.
