La Daana Kanhai is a marine scientist that is currently based at the Department of Life Sciences, The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad. From 2015 onwards, La Daana’s research has focused on the issue of plastic pollution in the Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
