Biography/Responsibilities/Duties:

I am Dr. Patrice Juliet Pinder and I am currently a "Visiting Science/STEM Education Research Expert" to UWI Mona Faculty of Science and Technology, who is partnering with other colleagues in the faculty and beyond to collaborate on: grant projects/research projects, publications, and training workshops. I am a Regional and Global expert in Science/ STEM education who have worked and collaborated with universities in the regions of North America, Asia, and the Caribbean and Latin America. In addition to my attachment to UWI Mona, I am also a University Professor and PhD Advisor (PhD STEM Business Thesis) with Global Humanistic University in Curacao, a Research Fellow with Morgan State University's, Maryland Collaborative STEM Education Research Institute, USA, and prior to Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as an International Research Expert in Sciences and Technology Education.

My service duties are: Editor-in-Chief of the "International Journal of Education and Culture," Associate Editor of "China US Education Journal," Editorial Advisory Board Member, UWI Shool of Education, St. Augustine's "Caribbean Curriculum," and invited peer reviewer for SAGE Open, high impact factor journal Science Education, Canadian Journal in Higher Education, Journal of Negro Education, Social Science Research Journal, and the Canadian Journal of Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education. Moreover, I have over 10 years of demonstrated passion toward my area of expertise and experiences in research projects development, teaching/tutoring, teacher-training, and publishing peer-reviewed research articles, and book chapters.

My current focus is in: Science/STEM and the newer STEAM and STREAM educational areas. My research areas of interests are primarily: game-based learning, im(migration) and STEM achievement, equity and STEM learning, and exploring and providing a 20 year Global Snapshot of Standardized testing in mathematics and science.

In addition to the aforementioned, I have created and facilitated training conferences and workshops in STEM education, have presented at international conferences, given international academic lectures, have published peer-reviewed research articles, and have published a book "Issues and Innovations in STEM Education: Theoretical and Empirical Articles By Early Career Researchers.
