Junior Research Faculty member of The Eastern Caribbean Health Outcomes Research Network (ECHORN). The Eastern Caribbean Health Outcomes Research Network (ECHORN) is a collaborative research study that examines the lifestyles, eating habits, and health behaviors associated with cancer, diabetes and heart disease in adult men and women living in the Eastern Caribbean. It is a collaboration between the Yale School of Medicine, University of the West Indies (Cave Hill and St. Augustine campuses), University of the Virgin Islands and the University of Puerto Rico. ECHORN was funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) in 2011. It is an infrastructure to support research, policy and capacity strengthening, in partnership with a range of stakeholders, to improve the health of people of Eastern Caribbean descent.
