MA Education (1989-1995) Part I: Courses in Educational Administration; Curriculum Theory and Development; Philosophy of Education; Sociology of Education; Educational Psychology; Language, Linguistics and Caribbean Education; Research Methods. Part II: Research Thesis "The Role of Teachers in English Curriculum Development in the Secondary School". Completed two years of postgraduate classes as a registered part-time student in the above listed courses including ED educational research methods including research design, research ethics, data analysis with Prof. M.O.A. Durajaiye. Sat and passed all courses including final examinations in these areas (1991-1993). Conducted approved research in 20 secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago with approved informed consent and ethics procedures, using anonymized confidental data for participating teachers and students (1993-1995). PhD Linguistics (1995-2000) Doctoral dissertation "Teaching English for Communication Purposes in a Medical Context". Conducted approved research among medical students in Trinidad and Tobago with approved informed consent and ethics procedures, using anonymized confidental data from focus groups and questionnaire surveys for participating students (1997-1999).
