This chapter focuses on the continuous quality improvement (CQI) of the internal QA system at The UWI, with particular attention to The UWI Open Campus. The chapter commences with a brief review of quality and QA for online programming, after which it discusses the changes in the internal QA practices of the university to facilitate high-quality online programme delivery and review. The chapter mainly uses best practices in online learning, namely articulation of specific online policies to govern the strategic and operational levels, and provision and adequacy of faculty training as articulated by Jara and Mellar (2007), Herman (2012), Cicco (2013), and Baran and Correia (2014) as the frame for the analysis of continuous improvement in online education at The UWI. However, the plan-do-check-act cycle is periodically referenced as appropriate.
